Lucille was born January 8, 1931 to Deette and Eloise Sollberger Etheredge in Beaumont. Lucille graduated from Beaumont High in 1948. She briefly attended Lamar before going to work for Gulf States Utilities. She married the loved of her life, her high school sweetheart, Wallace Bryan in 1950. They enjoyed 70 years of marriage until his death in 2021. Lucille stayed home and raised her 3 children and was involved in all their activities and PTA, and later she and Wallace became election poll workers.
