1.3 Tabula Rasa

Tabula Rasa has 6 linked white sockets, but provides no defence values. The white socket can accept gems of any color, so you can easily link up to five support gems together, because you don't have to worry about finding the right color on the socket to match the supports you want to use. This can be useful when upgrading new characters through the early stage. 1.4 Get random socket links – Orb of Fusing

Orb of Fusing reforges the links between sockets on an item randomly. 6 link chance is about 1500 Orbs of Fusing.

The item's quality increases the chances of obtaining more links. Blacksmith's Whetstone improves the quality of a weapon and Armourer's Scrap improves the quality of an armour. If an item has somequality, each 1% quality improves the result by 1%. While the chance of obtaining three or four linked sockets is relatively high, the chance of obtaining five or six linked sockets is very low, and on average requires hundreds or even thousands of attempts.

A test involving 100 000Orb of Fusingsconcluded that 836 to 1244 (average 1000)Orb of Fusingsare needed to six-link a six-socketed, 20%qualitieditemwith a 95%confidence interval.This translates into a ~77% chance to six-link within 1500 Orbs of Fusing.

This means it is statistically not worthwhile to use theCrafting Benchrecipe instead of using Orbs of Fusing manually, but it is still an option to consider for risk-averse players to avoid randomness.

1.5 Tainted Orb of Fusing

Tainted Orb of Fusing unpredictably adds or removes a link to the largest group of linked sockets on a corrupted item.

In this example, the body armour has a five-linked and one socket. Firstly, it removes the links on the largest group. Next, it adds a link and becomes a five-linked and one socket item again. In the third time, it becomes a six-linked item.

1.6 Einhar Beastcrafting 6 Link

Beastcrafting is a method of crafting by sacrificing beasts to the blood altar in the Menagerie. Each beastcrafing recipe requires four beasts to be sacrificed, with most of them requiring one specific Red Beast and three Rare Beasts. The four chosen beasts are released into the arena surrounding the blood altar and must be killed to complete the recipe. If the player dies during the attempt, the recipe fails and the beasts are lost.
